Most of the times and spend my time along the net trying to find different recipes that I like or inspire me. Obviously some times it’s really hard to call my mother all the time to ask her for advices, so the next easiest option is online. There are many sites that I am reading from time to time and various people that I admire on the cooking/blogging world.
Different people for different reasons every time and I think at some point they deserve to be named in a special page.
For now I will name Peter G who inspired me to have the following recipe with Mushroom Haloumi Burger that he did.
Well, I found quite easy and different which can “light up” your dinner in a way. So… I followed his advice’s and came with the following “burger”. His recipe got …”manipulated” a bit but I think it was for a good cause … : )
Ingredients
- 2 portobello mushrooms
- 2 slices of Greek Feta Cheese.
- 1 slice of fresh tomato
- 2 slices of green peppers
- Oregano
- Olive oil
Method
Step 1
Make sure you remove the stems from the mushrooms Put the two mushrooms on the oven pan and add on top of them a bit of olive oil and oregano on both sides and let them grill on the oven for 5-10 minutes changing sides in the middle.
Step 2
When you see that the mushrooms get soften a bit remove them from the oven. Add on top of one of the mushrooms., the tomato slice, the feta cheese slice, the peppers and add a bit of olive oil and sprinkle a little bit more of oregano.
Step 3
Put the back on the oven and continue grilling them until you see the tomato and the peppers to become soft. Put one of the mushrooms on top of the other with the ingredients and serve hot.
Step 4
If you want to you can add 2 small slices of chilli pepper during cooking.
The combinations are endless as the Portobello mushrooms can give you a lot of options.
